George Austin, Pastoral care

George has been serving since 2002 as the pastoral care pastor at Grace Point. The ministry services encompass a wide variety of aspects of care including, but not limited to, hospital visits, jail ministry, Bible studies at Brandywood nursing home and church services at Emeritus on the first and third Sundays. He also serves as a chaplain at Sumner Regional Hospital. We are excited about being involved in our new ministry, Celebrate Recovery.

George’s passion is the ministry of counseling and serving at Grace Point is a true labor of love for him. His wife, Nellie, shares in his passion and helps lead the Journeys 50 and older group.

George enjoys running daily and has completed several marathons. He spends his free time reading the Bible and spending time with his wife, Nellie.

"Just as the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many." Matthew 20:28
